James is a proud 1993 graduate of York Suburban School District. After high school, he earned dual undergraduate degrees in Business and Economics, followed by both a law degree and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. His well-rounded education led to a career spanning finance, business ownership, and law.
He began as an Equity Analyst with firms like Standard & Poor’s and Citigroup, later holding a senior strategy role with ITT Corporation. From 2010 to 2018, James owned and led several Safeguard franchises. Today, he is a managing partner at MPL Law Firm, where he focuses on helping clients navigate complex legal and business challenges.
James is currently serving his second term on the York Suburban School Board and is Board Chair of the YMCA of the Roses. He also serves on the boards of the Ski Roundtop Racing Club and the York County Legal Record. Past service includes the Rotary Club of York, Children’s Home of York, York Suburban Education Foundation, Junior Achievement, SCORE, and the York Suburban Lacrosse Club, where he coached and served as board president.
He and his wife Susan, married for over 20 years, are proud parents of three sons — two currently attending York Suburban and one recent graduate. James is passionate about community service and believes strongly in giving back to the district that helped shape who he is today.

Andrew is a proud 2002 graduate of York Suburban School District. After earning his degree in History with a minor in Political Science from the University of Arizona, he and his wife Mallory—a 2001 York Suburban graduate — lived across the country before choosing to return home to raise their family. They are now the proud parents of two daughters currently attending York Suburban, in kindergarten and third grade.
Their time living in other states only strengthened their appreciation for the quality of education they received from YSSD. Today, Andrew remains actively involved in the district — volunteering in the classroom at Valley View and Indian Rock Elementary, supporting both PTOs, and coaching his daughters' sports teams.
Professionally, Andrew works as a Talent Acquisition Senior Advisor for a government integrator, where he combines his people-first mindset with a passion for career development. Prior to this role, he was a PGA Class A Professional, working at elite country clubs and gaining valuable experience in leadership, operations, budgeting, and instruction.
Andrew is an avid reader with a love for history, philosophy, and Scottish crime novels. He is committed to living a disciplined and healthy lifestyle, driven by a desire to be a positive role model for his family and his community.
As a proud wife of over 50 years to her husband Bob, mother to three Suburban graduates (James, Brice, and Elle), and grandmother to seven (including two currently attending York Suburban) — Chris has deep roots in the YSSD community and a heartfelt commitment to its future.
With over 30 years of experience as a small business owner, now retired, Chris brings practical leadership, financial responsibility, and real-world problem-solving skills to the table.
Giving back has always been a core part of her life. Chris served as a York County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) from 2016 to 2022, standing up for the best interests of children in foster care. She also facilitated parent support groups with incarcerated parents through the Lehman Center at the York County Prison from 2018 to 2019 — work that deepened her compassion and strengthened her belief in second chances and strong families.
At the heart of everything Chris does is a passion for personal growth, meaningful connection, and creating spaces where others can thrive. She believes in the importance of education, empathy, and community — and she’s ready to serve York Suburban with that same spirit.
